Ships FedEx Priority Overnight for next-day delivery. Pick your delivery date on the calendar when you add ranunculus to your cart. The calendar shows the next available date. Delivery is available Tuesday through Friday. We recommend Tuesday–Thursday, since a Friday arrival leaves no working day to sort out a problem before a weekend event. Schedule delivery so the ranunculus arrive 1–2 days before your event. They ship in tight bud and open quickly once they're in water and out of the cold. Ranunculus arrive boxed and unarranged, with no signature required. The stems are hollow and soft, so plan to have someone there to get them into water on arrival. Care and Processing Instructions Unbox as soon as they arrive. Ranunculus travel in tight bud and look unimpressive in the box; that's what you want, because it means you get the full bloom life. Fill a clean vase or bucket with only 2–3 inches of water. Ranunculus stems are hollow and rot in deep water. Strip any foliage that would sit below the water line. Cut about 1 inch off each stem at an angle with a sharp knife or shears. Don't crush the stems. Change the water and recut every day. Hollow stems foul water faster than any other flower you'll handle, and dirty water is what kills them early. Keep them cool to hold them closed, or bring them into a warm room to open them fast. Ranunculus respond to temperature within hours, which makes them easy to time to an event. Keep them away from ripening fruit. Ranunculus are ethylene sensitive and a fruit bowl on the same counter will shorten their life. Expect movement. The stems keep growing and bend toward light, so an arrangement will shift shape over a day or two. Most designers treat that as the point of the flower. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee Every ranunculus order is backed by PetalDriven's 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If your flowers arrive damaged or in poor condition, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with clear photos of the flowers and your order number, and we'll make it right with a refund or exchange. Ranunculus arrive in tight bud by design. Closed, green-looking buds are not a defect and will open within a day or two in water. Email [email protected] or call 1-888-738-2529. To qualify, get your flowers into water as soon as they arrive and follow the care instructions above. Claims submitted without photos or after the 48-hour window can't be accepted, and natural variation in color, bloom size isn't considered damage. See our full refund policy.
