Philodendron Silver Sword is one of the most striking and collectible rare Philodendrons available. Its elongated, sword-shaped leaves are a cool, metallic silver-grey with a sligh tly iridescent sheen that shifts with the light. Juvenile plants trail beautifully; as the plant matures and begins to climb, the leaves develop more pronounced lobes and the silver coloring becomes even more vivid. It is a genuinely rare find that serious plant collectors actively seek out.Good for beginners? It requires moderate care. Silver Sword prefers bright indirect light and consistent moisture. It is more forgiving than many rare aroids and a good choice for plant enthusiasts ready to step up from beginner varieties.Safe for cats and dogs? Philodendrons are toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs, or explore our pet-safe plant collection.Light needs: Bright indirect light produces the most vivid silver-grey coloring and the fastest growth. In lower light the silver tones fade toward a more ordinary green. Avoid direct sun which can scorch the metallic leaves.Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer. Provide a moss pole to encourage climbing and the development of larger, more lobed mature leaves.Ships fresh from one of our two greenhouse locations in a nursery pot.
