From the perfumer here at The Fragrance Foundry: Raspberry is one of my favourite smells. I was very excited at the start of my perfumery journey to smell raspberry ketone, since this was supposed to smell like raspberries; yet to my nose it did not smell like much at all. I tried to make my own raspberry bases with varying levels of success, but I felt like I was not able to achieve the raspberry smell like imagined in my mind. When I heard about Raspberry Essence (Natural) by Robertet, I jumped at the chance to smell it. What I discovered was a beautifully crafted illustration of the smell of a raspberry, very much like the one I had imagined. I felt like I had found something important. This stock was imported from Perfumer's Apprentice in the USA, who collaborated with Robertet to reformulate this product after it was originally intended to be discontinued. I've made a small amount available here at The Fragrance Foundry for UK perfumers who wish to try but cannot afford the shipping and customs fees from the USA.
