Raspberry ketone (also known as raspberry crystals) is a very versatile sweet crystalline chemical that can be used in traces to add a fruity sweetness to materials like Vanillin o r Heliotrope. It is used to great effect in Coco by Chanel to unify the resins and add novelty to the oriental type of scent. It is definitely a must have material and we recommend diluting it to 10% as it is significantly more impactful than you would expect. Steffen Arctander describes it thus: "This ketone is used in perfume compositions, particularly in Jasmin, Gardenia, Tuberose, etc. where floral notes need fruity undertones, or where fruity notes need fixation and supporting delicate sweetness.
