Räsymatto (Finnish for rag rug) takes its cue from those wonderfully scrappy woven textiles and turns them into something a bit more polished, but still full of personality. Maija Louekari’s hand-drawn dots have that perfectly imperfect rhythm, like they refused to line up and ended up looking better for it. Set on Sami Ruotsalainen’s clean Oiva forms, it’s the sweet spot between playful and pulled together. Pasta, yogurt, soup, or last night’s something, it all looks a little more intentional here.
