Giulia Neri is an Italian illustrator and former psychologist working from a small village in the Dolomites, whose work has hung in the Galleria Farnesina at Italy's Ministry of Fo reign Affairs since 2022. A flat amber field, treeless and wide. Above it: massive black trees, silhouetted against a teal sky, their canopies reaching the frame. Between them, one woman. A mustard two-piece, a red cap, red shoes, a cigarette raised to her lips. Her shadow falls to the right. Ratched. Giulia Neri named this after the Netflix series - and something of its period exactitude and controlled menace is here in every colour choice. First shown at L'importanza dei piccoli gesti (Bonvini 1909, Sept 13–Oct 28 2023). Fine art print on 310g German Etching paper. 80 × 60 cm.
