Simply take the removable canister to the sink and fill between 5 and 20 ounces. If you're after precision and want to weigh the water, put the tank on your scale and fill to your target water volume. Automated Bloom Cycle Also called pre-infusion, this initial burst of hot water causes freshly roasted coffee to bubble up in a "bloom." The Four then lets the coffee rest and settle back down for 15 seconds before delivering the remaining hot water, leading to a more complete extraction. Supports Multiple Filter Styles The Ratio Four works with several popular filters. It ships with a flat filter basket (for use with Melitta or similar filters) that encourages a consistent extraction, but the Hario V60™, Kalita Wave™, and Origami™ all work perfectly as well.
