Next to Cal Ripken, Baltimore’s most iconic figure is decidedly a bit more goth. Edgar Allen Poe lived in “Charm City” off and on throughout his life, which came to its mysterious conclusion there in 1849. But not before he wrote The Raven –– one of the spookiest, and most famous poems, ever published.
