The Ray Mears Leather Compass Case is a beautiful, hand-stitched sleeve, re-designed in 2016 specifically to fit the Silva Expedition S Compass. It will also accommodate the Silva Expedition 15TDCL and Suunto MC-2 Mirror Compasses. Alternatively, it is an equally useful case for carrying your three forms of fire lighting or other small pieces of equipment. The Leather Compass Case features a generous belt loop attachment on the rear panel, but is also small enough to be simply popped into your pocket. A slot in the top of the case allows for any cord attached to your compass to pass through. The integral flap is closed with a brass Sam Browne stud. All edges are hand finished in burnished dark brown with a traditional crease line and stitching is done by hand with a strong and distinctive braided thread. All of our leather and canvas goods are hand-made by Woodlore's resident leather worker Becky Brewster, a craftswoman with decades of experience. The leather used in this product is vegetable tanned with full, natural grain and hand-dyed in house to the unique Woodlore rich brown colour.
