Like every Ciseal object, it's made in small batches in my Leonard, Michigan studio. I hand-layer ten sheets of sustainably sourced wood veneer, mold them into shape, then trim, sand, and finish each stand by hand. The result is a continuous curve that's remarkably strong, beautifully simple, and subtly unique to the natural character of the wood. A hand-rubbed oil and wax satin finish enhances the grain while providing durable resistance to water and everyday wear. Cork pads underneath keep the stand firmly in place while protecting the surface beneath it. Sometimes the smallest objects are the ones you interact with most.
