The Ray Sweater is a somewhat oversized, raglan sweater that is knit from the top down. First the neck trim is worked and then short rows are used to create the neck depth. Then the yoke is worked in the round until the sleeves and body are separated and worked individually in the round. The raglan lines continue down the body and underneath the sleeves. The pattern also includes two options for sleeves and optional bust darts. Ray is my grandmother’s maiden name and my daughter’s middle name. The raglan lines are meant to be reminiscent of rays of sun. The pattern is in English.
