The stock base weighs in at 11.8 grams, and the new base is 3.5 grams for a weight reduction of 8.3 grams. In our testing this brought our mouse to just under 50 grams! Installation is fairly easy with a #1 phillips and T6 torx screwdriver. There are 6 screws to remove. Check out our install guide for a step-by-step walkthrough. In the event that you want to remove the modification it is completely reversible. The original base can simply be reinstalled, and the mouse is back to original.
