Doc Miller presents a rare treat- traditional New Orleans Jazz in the style of George Lewis! It's hard to find trad jazz that's not hokey "Dixieland", but this is the real thing, t he folk music of old New Orleans played the turn of the century way as revived by Lewis and Bunk Johnson around the 1940's. Miller, who studied with Lewis, plays a mean clarinet - along with cornet, trombone, banjo, piano, bass and drums, and somehow sounds like he played all the parts at the same time, it's so lively and spirited.
