How can I cool the liquid I am processing? This reactor chamber does not have a cooling jacket, which is why it is typically used in conjunction with our in-line heat exchanger. The temperature of the processed liquid can be precisely controlled by passing chilled water through the heat exchanger’s outer tube. Cold tap water can be used for this purpose if a suitable chiller (with cooling capacity of at least 3600 W), is not available. Q2. What type of hoses do I need for the main liquid inlet/outlet of the reactor chamber? You will need 1/2" ID hoses for the main liquid line. Connect the hoses to the 1" sanitary clamp-to-1/2" hose barb adapters (included), which should be attached to the reactor chamber's inlet (typically, bottom) and outlet (typically, top right) using the corresponding gaskets and clamps (included).
