This Recording King RM-993, converted to a left handed model, puts traditional reso style into a small body design that packs a punch. True resonator tone begins with a classic nic kel-plated bell brass body and RK’s own full-size hand-spun 9.5" cone. Thanks to the smaller body size and 24-¼” scale length, the Parlor Resonator has a slightly different voice than other metal body instruments. It has all the swampiness and mid range of a classic biscuit-style metal body, but the unique design adds a little more treble shimmer, giving it extra top-end clarity. Body: Nickel-Plated Bell Brass in Black Nickel finish. Neck: Mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard, 24.25” scale length, 1.75” nut width, 19 frets, dot inlays. Hardware: Hand-Spun 9.5” Cone, open gear, black button tuning keys, Maple/Ebony Biscuit bridge, Ebony/Maple Saddle, bone nut. Modifications: modified from right handed bridge & nut to left handed Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape. It has very light surface scratches on the body. The back of the neck is clean, and the frets show minimal wear. The back has very light buckle rash. Overall, this guitar plays very well and sounds fantastic. Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has inspected, setup, and restrung this instrument with a new set of strings. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functional, and the action has been setup low and comfortable. Weight: 7 lbs. 6 oz.
