You'll learn professional pattern-cutting techniques to accurately replicate your favourite item without damaging the original, techniques you can also apply to other garments in your wardrobe. This workshop provides a solid foundation in pattern cutting, introducing you to essential techniques and terminology. Working at a relaxed pace with expert guidance, you'll trace your garment to create accurate pattern pieces, add all necessary markings and seam allowances, and learn to read the construction clues your garment provides. Time permitting, you'll cut and begin sewing a toile to test your new pattern. You'll also learn how to calculate fabric requirements and create step-by-step construction notes to use with your patterns at home.
