11 Mile on the tourist loop has an amazing view from above the steps, you can see the sand dunes in the far off distance as the bay curves around to Butty Head and Roses Beach. For the adventurous you can drive down 11 mile and access the beach to go to these places but we highly recommend to ask local advice first as vehicles have been known to get bogged. So going as a convoy group is best. The other stand out of 11 mile is its lagoon for the kids to play in as its protected by the reef, it can be sheltered from sea breezes on the west side of the carpark in summer.
