Our rustic creations are designed & created by us, Brandon & Erin Spangler, in our rural barn studio in Pine Log, Georgia located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We draw inspiration from our adventures in the great outdoors and homesteading. The raw steel we use is the most recycled material in the world, greatly minimizing its negative environmental impact. Every piece is handled by us from the design phase, to carefully being cut on our CNC laser or plasma table then finished by hand. BE CREATIONS AND DESIGN MISSION STATEMENT All of our items are made in our Northwest Georgia studio from steel, the most-recycled material in the world. Steel is an infinitely recyclable material, meaning it can be recycled over and over again without degradation. This greatly minimizes its negative environmental impact, saving energy, reducing landfill waste, and decreasing the mining of iron ore. This characteristic makes steel uniquely sustainable in a manner that no other material can rival. OUR PROCESS Our creations are made of a durable 14 gauge carbon steel. Covered with a thin layer of black oxide, this is responsible for the item's gray color. Our items are laser cut, and polished by hand in our Northwest Georgia studio. This greatly minimizes its negative environmental impact, saving energy, reducing landfill waste, and decreasing the mining of iron ore. Please keep this in mind as you consider the nature of this material, and the variability it shows. Due to the variations inherent in steel materials, the surface of each piece will likely vary somewhat from the photos. The color, shades, spots, and markings on the metal vary from piece to piece, making each one uniquely different. CARE INSTRUCTIONS Steel Care: Rub grade 3 coarse steel wool over the top to remove any and/or all unwanted rust. To remove finger prints or to prep for paint wipe the steel down with acetone which will clean the surface.
