That explains the frankly poor sound quality. By the time this was recorded, I was completely and mercilessly burned out — setting things up, mixing, moving speakers, turning knobs — all of it drove me insane. That inevitably led to the excessively nasty sound, although that unfortunate shortcoming is perhaps partly redeemed by the extremely inspired performance.
