Standard sizes are 55cm, 60cm, and 65cm in diameter (approximately 22", 24", and 26") — custom sizes are also available. Red Baffles are made in the southeast of Melbourne, Australia. They are easy to mount on a standard cymbal stand (we can supply cymbal stands and a bag at an extra cost if needed). Pictured is a baffle with the discrete logo which is generally hidden behind cymbal felts. Cymbal and drum baffles are an effective alternative to a drum screen, designed to refract or redirect sound. Baffles can be positioned in front of louder instruments such as cymbals or a snare to reduce bleed into stage mics (especially vocal mics) and are relatively invisible on stage. NB: Red Baffles refract sound and reduce stage noise but don’t make heavy-hitting loud drummers quieter — that’s a different story!
