Backcountry Cajun Red Beans & Rice “A Hearty Cajun Classic, Perfected for the Backcountry.” Authentic Cajun red beans, smoked andouille sausage, and seasoned jasmine rice come together in a rich, slow-simmered meal built for long days outdoors. Inspired by the timeless Louisiana staple, this recipe starts with the holy trinity of onion, bell pepper, and celery before being slow-cooked with smoked andouille sausage, red beans, Creole seasoning, and a rich beef base. Freeze-dried separately and paired with seasoned jasmine rice, it rehydrates into a hearty, satisfying meal with bold Cajun flavor, generous pieces of sausage, and a thick, comforting consistency—whether you’re in elk camp, on the trail, or miles from the nearest road.
