Red Boundlessness comes from wild, old-growth trees on Wuliang Mountain, some of the highest tea-growing land in Yunnan, with our cakes sourced from trees growing at around 2,000 meters on peaks that rise above 3,000. This tea was sourced by Master Tsai and Snow, who traveled to the region themselves to ensure the leaves were picked from old trees and carried back down the mountain for pressing. The trees are all two hundred or more years old, wild, seed-propagated, chemical-free, and growing in rich, biodiverse ecologies. Each cake was stone-pressed by Snow's friends in Kunming, with Snow personally selecting the finest of all the cakes produced for us. We are especially fortunate to be offering this tea again. Master Tsai stored a portion of these cakes for several years before making this wonderful tea available again, since it is such a beloved dian hong for many people, and that time has only added to what was already an extraordinary tea. Red Boundlessness is full and rich, uplifting with a stronger relationship to the sky due to the altitude. We find it sweet and floral with a depth of Qi that makes it a wonderful candidate for continued aging. There are fewer than thirty of these cakes available.
