From its native soil in Europe, Central Asia and North Africa, red clover has been a staple item in any herbalist’s shelf. It was procured early on by Russian herbalists, Chinese medicine-makers and North American healers alike. Initially recognized for its positive effects on maintaining skin health, red clover blossoms have since been discovered for its amazing qualities in supporting women’s reproductive health. Even beyond this, the blossom has been historically used as an anti-inflammatory (respiratory), a hormonal balancer, lymphatic support, and a source for many vitamins and minerals including vitamin B and C, calcium, nitrogen, iron, magnesium, potassium, flavonoids, saponins and coumarins. Like all the greenery on my farm, the wild red clovers are grown without the need of any kind of human intervention. Picked at their peak and using the freshest blossoms available, the plant is cleaned and readied for the in-house maceration process. I use tall mason jars to store and capture the essences of the blossoms, letting them soak for 8 weeks, before they are carefully strained into glass tincture bottles. What you will be receiving is a 1 oz bottle--the ingredients are red clover leaf and 80 proof vodka. *No distilled water added. Use 10-20 drops of tincture in your favorite non-carbonated beverage 2-4 times a day (between meals). Alcohol-Free Ingredients: red clover leaf & flowers, distilled water, organic vegetable glycerin.
