Red Dragon's Stack flights in Hardcore XT, No. 2 shape. Hardcore XT is the heaviest gauge Red Dragon make. The thicker the flight, the longer it holds its fold and the better it survives being struck — and the small cost is a fraction of extra weight right at the back of the dart. That last point is worth understanding. Weight at the tail has more leverage over the trajectory than the same weight anywhere else, so a heavier flight slightly lifts the back of the dart independent of the drag it generates. Comes in No. 2 and Freestyle. Surface area is the whole story with flight shape — more of it means more drag and more correction, less of it means speed and a flatter path. No. 2 is the larger of the two standard shapes, so it carries the most drag and steadies the dart most. Freestyle is Red Dragon's own cut, so it is worth trying against a shape you already know.
