Color can vary from light orange-brown to reddish orange as males mature, and younger or less dominant males may not show full color immediately after shipping. Origin and Habitat Native Region: Rocky shorelines throughout much of Lake Malawi. Natural Habitat: Rocky habitat. Physical Characteristics Size: 8-9 inches. Coloration: Mature males can develop orange to reddish-orange fin and body highlights; females and juveniles are more subdued.
