A contemporary hybrid of a Manhattan and a Brooklyn, the Red Hook was the first hero of the rye whiskey revolution in the aughts. All three ingredients - rye, Punt e Mes, and Luxar do maraschino were obscure then, and that expeimentation made the Red Hook a sensation.
