Red Romaine is a beautiful romaine-type lettuce produces lime green leaves that blush to a rich burgundy color where exposed to light. Leaf midveins retain their bright green color and are a lovely contrast to the red margins. Even astronauts love red romaine-- it is one of the varieties being tested on board the International Space Station where it has given great results so far. Approximately 45 days to harvest.
