Crataegus pinnatifida 'Red Sun' Red Sun is prized for its unique oak-leaf like foliage and large, tasty fruit. Know in China as Shan Zha, this attractive, small tree displays large clusters of white flowers followed by abundant, round, 1" diameter fruit which turn red when ripe. This unique sweet and flavorful fruit is delicious eaten fresh, dried, stewed, and made into candy. Chinese Haw is relatively easy to grow, disease resistant, and hardy once well-established.
