Three layers of not-too-rich chocolate sponge layers, coloured (with vegetarian) red, sandwiched together with cream cheese frosting. 6" cake will feed 8-10 generously, or 16 small pieces if you cut it into squares. 8" cake will feed 12-16 generously, or 24 small pieces if you cut it into squares.
