Delicate fuchsia flowers cover branches early in sp ring before crabapples typically bloom, providing food sources for bees and other pollinators early in the season. Blooms give way to full, heart-shaped leaves for summer. Plants tolerate sun well, and grow excellently in shade. Scarify with boiling water for a few minutes, or with sandpaper prior to planting.
