The Redcap (or powrie) are a type of malevolent, murderous goblin found in Border folklore. Said to inhabit ruined castles along the Anglo-Scottish border, especially those that we re the scenes of tyranny or wicked deeds and are known for soaking their caps in the blood of their victims.
