The adjustment nut and stud are designed to fit most Stanleys and can probably fit in most other brands, though we have not been able to test all of them. It will not work with type 5 and earlier Stanley.If the lateral adjuster is a two-piece design, this will work with yours. Types 1-4 have no lateral adjuster, and type 5 has a one-piece adjuster. All other Stanleys will work.It is larger than the standard Stanley adjuster, and the knurling provides a far better grip. The stud also has threads that are twice as fine as the old adjuster so you can have finer depth adjustment control.
