The Reef is a multipurpose cushion that provides the base for support and protection in a wide variety of positions. In side-lying, it can be used for pelvic stability or shoulder support when combined with the NTG01 Seahorse Cushion—or as a lumbar support for clients with limited trunk control and balance. It can also be used to protect from bed rails, helping keep the individual in a midline position. In supine, it can support the elbow joint and forearm, or provide head and neck support in clients with lateral flexion tendencies. The Reef Cushion is not only suitable for long-term positioning but can also be effective for pre- and post-operative interventions—offering protection and support to the lower extremities following knee surgeries, femur or tibia/fibula fractures, or during wound care. In combination with the NTG14 Wave Cushion or the NTG11 Lunar Cushion, the NTG10 Reef cushion can be used to stabilize knees or protect ankles or heels.
