Reflecting Hope is about the way meaning only becomes clear in hindsight. It takes its cue from Steve Jobs' line that you can only connect the dots looking backward, and builds a show around that idea: the struggle you're inside of never makes sense until later, when you turn around and see the shape of it. It moves through self-reflection, community, and the hard-won joy that comes out the other side of a difficult stretch.An advanced production, it asks a lot of an ensemble and gives a lot back, a show with emotional weight and the musical substance to carry it. The rating leans almost entirely on rhythmic and technical difficulty. Keys and meters are chosen to stay band-friendly and to line up with the phrasing the drill needs, and instrument ranges sit inside the grade window rather than pushing its edges.
