An exclusive, one of a kind wall hanging of my original 'Reflection' painting. A new trend in the last decade of a contemporary house build is to have large double height walls with clean lines and a plain colour palette. Often a large piece of art can flourish in this environment, allowing the backdrop of space and modernity to make it shine. Why textile art? Materials in the form of rugs, wall hangings and tapestries have been used for centuries to provide warmth and movement to interior spaces. What better way to provide an element of life to your home than through textile art? This is the first of many wall hangings planned where I am collaborating with my Mother, Textile Artist Kathleen O'Reilly. Printed on a Linen/Cotton blend of fabric from Pixalilli in Donegal, with a natural white border, backed in pale grey material. Machine Washable, it is ready to hang on any space. The wall hanging 'Reflection' measures 37" x 53" inches.
