A free, lightweight limiter you can use anywhere The Reflex Limiter is designed to transparently control the peaks in your signal, while remaining light enough on CPU that you can use it multiple times in your project. The plugin employs a fast-acting look-ahead compressor followed by a clipper. The compressor alone does not provide brickwall limiting, but it reduces workload for the clipper and allows for a cleaner sound. The device can also be pushed hard and made to produce crunchy distortion on individual tracks or buses. Features With Matched LUFS activated, the Pre-Gain dial can be turned gently without the output loudness changing—helping you to determine how hard the signal can be pushed Auto Ceiling option changes the Ceiling dial to directly control how many decibels are removed from peaks Compressor and clipper can be independently deactivated (note that signal peaks may exceed the threshold if clipping is inactive) "O/S" button activates 2x linear-phase oversampling How to use Listen to how your transients and overall signal are changing as you fine-tune the dials at the bottom of the display To A/B test: select "Matched" in the LUFS display, then toggle Bypass mode by clicking the waveform display Hover the mouse over the plugin window to show peak input and output signal voltage over last 3 seconds, as well as estimated CPU usage Double-click to reset a dial to its default value, or hold / to fine-tune Consider pairing with the Reflex Pre-Limiter plugin for a more heavy-duty limiting experience Technical notes Available in VST3, AAX & AU formats for Windows and MacOS Requires a compatible Digital Audio Workstation or other plugin host Left & Right channel processing is 100% unlinked 0-16ms latency, depending on settings See here for information about versions and changes.
