About the ProductRefresh Optive Advanced is a lubricant eye drop supplied in a 10 mL bottle. It carries three active ingredients, carboxymethylcellulose sodium 0.5%, glycerin 1% and polysorbate 80 0.5%, each with the stated purpose of eye lubricant. The formula contains castor oil and is preserved with Purite, a stabilized oxychloro complex.One or two drops are instilled in the affected eye or eyes as needed, and the bottle is discarded 90 days after opening. Refresh Optive Advanced and Refresh Optive Mega-3 are different products with different inactive formulations.Uses For the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun. May be used as a protectant against further irritation.
