The title of this collection is taken from a favorite worship song that has been our cry for the past two years. And each work is the visual manifestation and physical representation of how our great God has carried us through—from the almost therapeutic process of just painting alone in my studio with truth in song washing over me to the feelings the color palette and composition evoke for me. "Refuge" embodies Psalm 62:7-8: "On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God.
