Our team of engineers have completely re-laid the Brio circuit, optimising it for performance and reducing distortion. Housed in a compact, custom half-width aluminium case, the Brio MK7 delivers an impressive 50 W per channel into 8Ω and 72 W per channel into 4Ω, providing ample power to drive the most challenging loudspeakers. The Brio MK7 now includes a Rega-designed onboard DAC with two digital inputs for greater flexibility with a range of components. The very musical sounding Wolfson WM8742 DAC is incorporated into the circuit. A new mini system remote (compatible with future products) is supplied to operate the standby function, allowing the unit to be powered on and off via the remote handset. 🔧 Re-laid Circuit The PCB layout has been fully upgraded to handle higher specifications for all critical parts. A second raw power supply is implemented to isolate the output stage from the driver stage, line, and phono amplifiers—improving signal separation. Higher-spec MUSES operational amplifiers have been used across the line, DAC, and phono amplifier stages. 🎧 Headphone Socket The Brio MK7 includes an onboard headphone circuit designed to drive standard hi-fi headphones without disrupting the main signal path. Special care has been taken in the switch that disables main speakers when headphones are plugged in. 🕒 Auto Standby Equipped with auto standby functionality, the unit will automatically enter standby mode after ~1 hour of no signal. This feature can be disabled if desired. 🔥 Thermal Cut-Out Should the amplifier overheat, the thermal protection system will first mute speaker output and show a warning via the MUTE and input LEDs.
