From the Brighton Aquatints suite. Hand coloured edition of 55. Notes by the artist: Regency Square. Regency Square is laid out on a gentle slope in the 'best part' of Hove. The We st pier runs straight out to sea in front of it. The terrace of houses at the top of the square, which this aquatint shows, is built in yellow brick, with delicate details. The bowed verandas, with their generous curved caps, and the complicated balustrades are a feature here. Show more
