Please make sure you have submitted your info for this session via our form before you purchase this workshop. Instructor: Bobbi Donnelly Course Description: An introduction to the Danish Tønder point ground lace. In piece 1, the six-sided mat, you will become comfortable with the 140/2 Egyptian Cotton and the 50/2 Fresia Linen. You will learn how to do a Copenhagen hole and familiarize yourself with the way I teach. Piece 2 will teach you how to do a Cumberland Footing and how to do fingers. This piece is a straight edging. Piece 3 is the same pattern but in a small circle so that you will have a finished piece to put around a photo in a frame. You will also learn how to sew it together. Piece 4 is a thin bookmark that uses the stitches you’ve learned so far and how to do tallies. Also how to hang on and finish the bookmark. Skill Level: Intermediate Prerequisite: This is a beginner Tønder class, not a beginner lace class. This class will use 140/2 Egyptian Cotton so some familiarity with using thread size 70/2 Egyptian Cotton or smaller is necessary. Some point ground experience, the use of gimp and the ability to read working diagrams will be helpful.
