Designed to build confidence, independence, and smiles — the Rehatri Special Needs Electric Tricycle provides a safe and supportive cycling experience for riders who need extra postural assistance and stability. The Rehatri Special Needs Electric Tricycle is a purpose-built adaptive trike designed for children and adults who require additional support, stability, or caregiver assistance while riding. Featuring a very low centre of gravity, adjustable seating, and a highly configurable support system, the Rehatri allows riders with a wide range of physical and developmental needs to experience the freedom and enjoyment of riding a bike. Although available without the rear-steering arm for independent riders, the most popular models are configured with the useful rear steer facility, on which brake and power controls can be mounted. Electric assistance helps lighten the load when helping the rider and is provided by a 250W front hub motor paired with a 36V battery system, helping reduce rider and attendant fatigue and making hills and longer rides more manageable. The adaptable design supports a variety of postural aids, pedal systems, seatbelts and can be further adapted to include a higher backrest and 4-point harness. Seating and pedal options can also be tailored for the rider, allowing the trike to be modified to individual rider requirements. The drivechain is a simple fixed-gear format as standard, whereby the pedals turn as the trike moves. The adapted option recommended offers an interchange between fixed and free wheel mode to enable the rider to rest or to develop skills to ride independently. This upgrade is our most popular option to keep riders mobile for longer. Whether used for recreation, therapy, skills development, or everyday mobility, the electric Rehatri is built to deliver comfort, support and independence and to make riding a heavy special needs trike more enjoyable for rider and those supporting them.
