The E36 front subframe and engine mount areas are known weak points, especially on cars running stiffer engine mounts, and seeing regular track use. Over time, the added load and v ibration can fatigue the factory sheet metal, leading to cracking around the engine mount pockets and subframe mounting points. Our Front Subframe & Engine Mount Reinforcement Plates are designed to strengthen these high-stress areas, helping spread load over a larger surface and reduce the chance of long-term damage. They’re a smart preventative upgrade while the subframe is out—or anytime you’re building an E36 to be driven harder than stock. Our reinforcement plates are precision cut from 1/8" steel for consistent fit and strength. Installation requires welding to properly tie the plates into the factory structure.
