The Reisport Hyper Protec Mens Ring grip is for gymnasts whose training load is outgrowing a standard pair. Kevlar-reinforced leather and built-in wrist padding, with a double buckle closure, made specifically for rings. Features Two finger holes with a sewn-on leather-wrapped dowel Double buckle closure for a firm, adjustable hold Reisport leather bonded with Kevlar Built-in wrist padding Sold as a pair Made for men's artistic rings. Not for use on high bar or uneven bars What makes Protec different The Protec range is built around a leather laminate that is triple the strength of ordinary leather and stretches less than 1%, compared to 4% for natural leather. That means the grip holds its shape and its feel far longer under heavy training loads. Reisport leather bonded with high-tech Kevlar for strength and security Built-in padding for wrist comfort Holds its shape and feel session after session Ideal for gymnasts training 20 to 30 hours per week. These are not recommended as a first pair. If you are training up to 20 hours a week, the standard Reisport range is the better place to start. Finding your size Measure from the base of your hand, where the wrist creases, to the tip of your longest finger. Compare that measurement to the chart below. Fit: the finger holes should slide only to the first knuckle. If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the smaller size. Not sure? Email us a tracing of your hand with a 10cm ruler in the picture and we will size you, or come and see us in store in Brisbane for a fitting. Please check the size with your coach before use. Grips that have been named, worn or marked cannot be returned or exchanged. Wear them with wristbands Wear 4.5 inch towelling wristbands with these grips. They sit between the leather and the wrist, stop the closure rubbing and prevent blisters. Care and replacement Replace your grips every year, or at the first sign of a tear If a grip tears, stop using it straight away and replace the pair The more hours trained and the higher the level, the sooner they will need replacing Never cut the dowel. The leather can expand and the grip can fail Keep them dry. Water hardens the leather and it will snap If the finger holes are too tight, ease them open slowly with fine emery paper. Never use scissors or a knife, and never make them so large the grip can slip Made in Switzerland Reisport has been making gymnastics grips in Reinach, Switzerland for decades. Every pair is handmade to strict standards from top-quality leather.
