About the product: The RELAUNCH side table revisits a familiar archetype of modern design: a cubic volume pierced with circular openings. Often associated with Joe Colombo, this form underwent numerous variations in the late 1960s and 1970s, to the point of being so widely reproduced and reinterpreted that its origin progressively shifted from individual authorship to a collective design language. This re-design by Full Room approaches the archetype through a process of reduction and material clarity. The table is made entirely of sheet aluminum, replacing the traditional assembly of multiple materials with a single-material, fully recyclable structure. It is produced locally in Quebec from Canadian aluminum and features a high-gloss powder-coated finish, evoking the visual softness of Space Age plastics while maintaining the durability of metal.
