About this Artwork It's February 2022 and my best friends and I have escaped to Hawaii to explore the magic of Kauai. It's hard to express in words just how otherworldly that islan d feels - but through a photograph, you feel this power. The whole island is surrounded in tidal pools, and at sunset you start to feel as if you're transcending into the heavens. Hawaii consistently had some of the most colorful sunsets I've ever seen. My best friend Lorenzo, who performed with the LA Opera, agreed to pose for me to transmute this sensation of teleporting into another reality through nature.
