Reliable UberLight Flex LED Task Light Review The Uberlight Flex is an analog audiophile's dream accessory and a must have accessory. I have spun a lot of vinyl over the years, but I have never been satisfied that I was getting all of the surface dust off of the record before playing it. This light, in conjunction with a reasonable record cleaning device, is the answer to that concern. Not an answer, THE answer. Once you are able to properly see the record you are able to clearly see the dust and other debris on its surface, which allows you to ensure that the record is totally free of dust and debris before you introduce it to your expensive turntable cartridge. What an amazingly simple, yet totally overbuilt light! The stem is totally flexible, yet completely solid. The clamp is also completely overbuilt. No worries at all about its integrity. This light will never budge once you have set it in place. For me, it was important that the light sit in such a way that affords 100% clearance of the dust cover on my turntable. With the Uberlight Flex, easy peasy! The stem of the light is so flexible but at the same time so rigid, I was able to adjust it so that it clears the dust cover within a fraction of an inch! And there it remains. Solid and immoveable unless I choose to reposition it. Absolutely no worries about it falling on my turntable. This light is SOLID! As for functionality, it does exactly what Reliable says it will do. Go ahead..., clean a record in your usual way. Then introduce what you think is the cleaned product to Uberlight. You will be shocked at what your cleaner left behind. With this product you can better target the removal of dust and debris on your records, thereby guaranteeing a better, cleaner listening experience. This makes the Uberlight totally versatile and will allow you, the analog audiophile, to choose the settings that are best at revealing the dust and debris in your grooves depending on the other lighting factors in your listening space. My space has a lot of natural light and overhead pot lighting. I was able to quickly choose the setting that was best at revealing the impurities in my vinyl capable of being quickly cleaned before playing the record.
