Handcrafted ceramic vase made with mixture of local clay. Inspired by the shape of an hourglass. Wheelthrown and glazed only in the inside. The final earth tones and textures are t he result of the different combination of clays exposed to the heat of the kiln fire. 6"diam. x 10"h. Ceramic Glazed interior Please note: This type of ceramic has different percentages of earths and clays in order to "pigment" the paste without the need to apply a colored glaze. The materials reacts directly to contact with fire, the heat influences the intensity of color that each piece can have and sometimes there are variations even in the same batch, witch is why in a single finish there can be a wide range of tones.
