The Remi Mini is constructed from vintage bobbin lace over sheer tan illusion lining, giving the dress its barely-there, dancer-inspired foundation. A piece of revived Americana textile, the lace brings its own history and character into every dress. The rounded basque bodice is built with extensive internal corsetry, individually constructed panels, boning, and a lace-up back designed to shape and cinch the body. This is not a faux corset or decorative bodice. Remi is structured from the inside out. The fitted mini skirt continues the sheer paneled construction, cutting dramatically high over the side hips before dropping lower at the center front and back. The curved silhouette elongates the legs while keeping the skirt close and clean through the body. Two layers of fringe bring the movement: a long layer falling from the waist and draping over the skirt, with a shorter layer tracing the curved hemline. Each Remi is cut and constructed individually in our Oceanside studio from limited vintage textiles. The corset is designed to give you flexibility through the upper body, with up to 2 inches of adjustability through the bust and waist thanks to the lace-up back. For small marks, the lace may be carefully spot treated with an oxygen-based cleaner, gently rinsed, and hung to dry. Handle her like the vintage piece she is.
