This is an original painting from Jennifer Walker's "Leaving A Mark" Collection Acrylic on 1.5" gallery-wrapped stretched canvas Dimensions: 24"x24" Signed on front and titled on back "Leaving A Mark" is a collection that represents my sister and four of the friends who faithfully walked through our two-year adoption process alongside me and left an indelible mark. They saw and heard all the pain, mess, struggle, confusion, and longing, and they boldly believed when I couldn't, prayed when there was little to say, hoped and wished for our little guy as much as we did, and helped keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. Each painting is named for something that reminds me of them. "Remote Island" is named after a dear friend who feels like family. I've known her since right after college and her family's since middle school. She and I have this running joke the tour dream is to move all of our friends to a remote island and start our own glorious, idyllic little country. She is also the one who will run it all. She is truly the most productive, capable, boss lady friend I have. If things need to get done, she is the one to call. But even more special than anything is that she does it with such a servant's heart. If she offers to help (which she does often), she means it. Her Voxer messages and phone calls and help in so many other ways carried me through our adoption. And her honesty, ability to say the hard things in love, candid and lovable personality, and truly great laugh make her someone I'd definitely move to a deserted island with…especially since I know we'd be in very good hands.
